Live Event Streams

For everyone's convenience, Kainzo has a Twitch.TV account that allows him to stream event footage from Herocraft.

This is great for when our server slots are full! This way, members and non-members can still watch the events and won't miss out on any of the action!

New Maps to Come!

We're not called "The Multiverse" for nothing. Herocraft Online features multiple maps and worlds for all to explore, starting with only 2 so far: Bastion and Warshard

While we're playing on these maps, the developers and architects are working hard to soon release several other planned maps.

So far, 2 on the queue line include a "Vanilla" Herocraft map, built around PVP and dazzling architecture, and an adventure map, built around quest-lines, PVP, and exploration.

Brutal's Dome of Death, hosted July 27th, 2012

Dome of Death - CONTINUES!

Brutalacerate's infamous event, The Dome of Death, is back and more brutal than ever! The event will be held Saturday @ 8pm PST. This will server as a tester to see the turn out. Times and days may be changed to better fit the schedules of our fellow students, depending on the host's schedule.

What is Dome of Death?

Brutal creates an indestructible Bedrock Dome in which any interested participant is teleported into. Once the event starts, tons of creatures spawn everywhere in waves, with occasional waves of cows, pigs, and chickens for food/health regeneration.

At the end of the event, there is a "drop" ceremony in which rewards (diamond, gold, emeralds, etc) are dropped everywhere. Then PVP is turned on and the dome is removed. Players can choose to run away/recall or test their skills in PVP for a "Winner takes all" victory!

Join in on the action and defend the server from impending doom!

Same-IP Users - Please Read!

This is a very urgent matter that needs to be acknowledged for any member who wishes to get whitelisted.

Recently, we've had some issues with members (who are siblings, friends, etc) of whom share the same IP. This often raises flags for us as we've had issues in the past with members creating alternate accounts, something that is illegal on the server.

If you're looking to get whitelisted but you share the same computer or internet network, please post this in your whitelist application or send a private message to any of our mods or proctors.

This is crucial for any members in the above situation. We do not allow alternate accounts on our server and it's much easier to explain your situation to a mod before you're banned rather than after.

New Towns - ALL RECRUITING!

In recent news, Herocraft Online now has 10 official towns on the server, all of which are regioned and protected on the server. All 10 towns are also recruiting and currently looking for new members.

These 10 towns are:
  • Mineris - An evil town, Capital of the Realm of Vengeance Kingdom
  • Malkier - An evil town that is the Capital of the Kingdom of Malkier.
  • Belegost - A neutral town.
  • Paragon - A neutral town from the Legion of Oblivion Kingdom.
  • Newerth - A neutral town, Capital of the Xandria Dominion Kingdom
  • Excelsum - A neutral town, Not yet established in a Kingdom.
  • Verstad - A neutral town that is the Capital of the Legion of Oblivion Kingdom.
  • Camelot - A neutral town, Not yet established in a Kingdom.
  • Braavos - A neutral town from the Legion of Oblivion Kingdom.
  • Gravkoc - A Good town.

Each town has a specific alignment for their town which corresponds with their actions. These alignments are:
  • Evil - A town that can murder, raid, steal from anyone.
  • Neutral - A town that can retaliate murder, raiding, and stealing.
  • Good - A town that can only murder, raid or steal from Evil towns.

If you're interested in seeing or joining these towns, please click the name of the town you are interested in.

You can also log onto the server and ask to speak with a town member directly.

Why Can't I Talk in Other Channels?

This is a common question asked in Herocraft.

The truth is, we have to watch out for trolls and spam-bots who may log-into the server for not-so-great reasons.

To save the players (and staff) the frustration, we made it so that any player who wants to wishes to speak in any chat other than the local, shout, and Tour chats must be whitelisted.

To do this is easy: Go to www.HerocraftOnline.com and fill out an application in the "Get Whitelisted" section. There, a proctor will review your application and accept you if you haven't had any recent bans or hacking issues.

Once that has been situated, you have all of Herocraft at your fingertips!

For more info, please visit www.HerocraftOnline.com

Herocraft's Rules

Though the server is Grey-listed, our rules still apply to every member who logs on, regardless of if you've been whitelisted or not.

Please click here and review our rules before joining our server. By logging onto Herocraft, you accept our ToS and Rules. Failure to follow the rules may result in being muted, kicked, and even banned from the server.

"I didn't know" is not a valid excuse.

Pop Quiz!

Who should you ask when you're stuck and need help?
  • An Admin
  • A Mod
  • A Proctor
  • A Guide
  • A Regular player
  • An NPC

The answer:
Though you could technically ask anyone from this list (well, excluding the NPC), your best option is to ask a Guide if none of your peers can answer your question or help you.
Guides are on the server specifically to help answer questions and point you in the right direction on the server and in the forums. You can ask them via PM's (also known as whispers), the Help chat (/ch h), or the Tour chat (/ch tour). Please note that when using these two above channels that they are public and that anyone can see your question.
They should be respected just as you would respect any other staff member or admin and, if you ever have any trouble on the server and need advice, they are the go-to person for most things.

Questions?

When you first start out in the game, the most commonly asked questions are:
  • Where am I?
  • How do I leave Spawn?
  • How do I join a Town?
  • How do I choose a class?
Here are a few quick and easy answers for the above questions:
  1. Where am I? You are in a place called Dragongarde, aka Spawn City.
  2. Where do I find Quests? All around Spawn! Each day, more and more quests are being added to the server. To find which NPC's give out quests, walk around and explore! If an NPC has a quest for you, he or she will call you over and try to interact with you. Then, all you have to do is right-click them and they'll give you all the details.
  3. How do I leave Spawn? In order to leave spawn city, you can follow any of the roads (which go East, West, North, and South). Be careful going down the stairs though, you don't want to fall!
  4. How do I join a Town? In order to join a town, you must find out which ones are recruiting. For this, go into the Recruitment channel (/ch re) and ask if there are any towns currently recruiting. If so, they may ask you to follow a link (which will look like this link "tiny.cc/") and apply on the forums. Each town has their own requirements and rules so be sure to read up on them first.
  5. How do I choose a class? When you first start out in Herocraft, you will be a "Lost Soul" until you choose your path and your profession. To do this, figure out which Path you like most (we recommend checking up on the wiki to learn about the different skills and perks of each path and class). Then, you'll have to put in the following commands:
  • /hero choose [Path]
  • /hero profession Crafter
Once you're more experienced and have reached level 30, you can choose your specialty (if you have 250 coin).

I present to you a lovely image from our new map, Bastion.

Now then... Get on the server IMMEDIATELY! Spawn City is under attack by Monsters!

+100 New Slots

Here's a new update for everyone to enjoy:

The Herocraft Server has recently increased it's player-slot count from 200 to 300!

It goes without saying that, after the event today, this was a MUCH NEEDED update for the server considering we had well over 220 people on the server at the time!

The player-slot count (for those who don't know) is the maximum amount of players you can have on your server at the same time. This means that after 300 players have and are logged in, no other non-whitelisted players can login until after another player logs out.

IT'S HERE!

The long-awaited release is here! Herocraft proudly presents the new map; Bastion.

More breath-taking then the last and full of more adventure than ever before! The server is absolutely BOOMING with activity and users agree that this is the most epic map they've ever seen in the history of Minecraft.

There are so many players on the server right now and because it's loading on the official IP for the first time, there is a lot of lag, but it should subside soon. Everyone is amazed at the new tutorial area for everyone and Kainzo said himself they underestimated the amount of players that would be logging on for the map reset, so far nearly maxing out at 180 players.

  • Thief has been replaced with Runeblade
  • Geomancer has been replaced with Pyromancer
  • Healing skills now have a cute animation after a successful heal
  • Newbies now have their own "tutorial island" area to learn about the game and plugins with (hopefully) less confusion
  • Township taxes are now automatic with a town bank
  • Less PVP-off areas (excluding where necessary)
  • All players, whitelisted and not, can connect to the server
