Happy Thanks Giving!

Today is a long Blogger update with some snazzy Kainzo-inspired artwork by our user, FaredX. There's one particular thing on the agenda for today's discussion, and a few of you may or may-not have an idea for what that thing is.

But first!

To kick things off, I hope all of our American Heroes are having a wonderful Thanksgiving with their families and friends. Anyone else who may-not be from the US or don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope your weekends are both safe and fun. No word yet on if there's going to be a special event tonight, but if I hear anything I will keep your guys posted.

Now, as you may have noticed, the schedule was released late last night for the blog (you can find it on the left, just under our "About Us" section). Though this schedule may change just a little, this is still expected to be the basic schedule for our blog.

We'll start off the week with a Weekly Update (Mondays) to get our users up-to-date with the latest trends and changes on both the forums and the server. This could include anything from bug fixes and add-ins on the server to suggestions to even just off-topic chatter that is gaining popularity within the forums.

Then, on Tuesdays, we'll be covering an available Hero Class (Profession and Main classes) in our Class of the Week posts. With these posts, we'll be covering the skills, armor, tools and weapons, what they're best known for, and (if a Main class) which classes they have an advantage and disadvantage to. We may also feature some user content, be it excerpts and quotes to even artwork inspired by their favorite classes.

Wednesdays will feature mostly user content (threads, artwork, etc) in what may or may-not be known as Player Shot, with the occasional Graveyard Pick. Graveyard Picks will be entries that feature Towns and Guilds that have fallen before us over the last 2 years. With these rare posts, we'll cover what they were known for, who created these towns, and perhaps even an interview or two from ex-members of the town/guild.

Thursdays will be quick and painless as we willl be putting every-day heroes in the spotlight for their creative and unique Minecraft Skins in our weekly edition of Skin Spotlight. In these posts, we'll be interviewing the players about their inspiration for their skin, who they are on the server, and their most memorable experiences on Herocraft.

On Fridays, we'll begin the highly anticipated Town of the Week posts which will feature an inside look of your favorite active towns on the server. We'll be interviewing Mayors, council-members, and even citizens about what they love most about their town and cover the basics from what they're most known for to their architectural inspiration to anything else our viewers want to know.

Saturdays will be the most brutal topic as we'll be covering the best weekly PVP'er, with stats coming directly from Herocraft's new Battle-arena, in our weekly PVP Spotlight. In the battle arena (also known as Herocraft's Skirmish Arena), players enter and are properly equipped with items, weapons, and armor, depending on their class. The stakes are high as PVP'ers are in a battle to the death! The one who survives (or the one who has the most health, as the arena is on a time limit) gains a kill/win to add to their records while the other gains a death/loss. The players with the most amount of kills and the least amount of deaths will be featured with both an interview and perhaps some tips and pointers from the PVP Kings and Queens themselves.

To end the week, Sundays will feature both a User Q&A entry, where we answer commonly asked questions to help our Heroes out, and a snapshot on the current Top 10 Richest Players. Users can submit their questions in both the comment section or via email and they'll be featured in the posts.

The schedule will be effective as of Monday, the 26th, after the US Holiday Weekend

Until then, keep sending in your Herocraft-inspired art and we'll continue to feature them on the blog.
